About

Ashley Sellars, founder of The Script Shop, began her calligraphy journey in 2013. Ashley had the privilege of learning calligraphy from Melissa Esplin, founder of Calligraphy.org. Melissa Esplin taught Ashley the fundamentals of Copperplate Calligraphy, which Ashley fell in love with. Melissa Esplin mentored Ashley and helped her find her own style and how to turn what she loved into a business. Ashley is a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting. She continues her calligraphy education yearly by attending the IAMPETH calligraphy conference learning from the best and most talented instructors from all over the world. A few of Ashley’s instructors have been Maria Helena Hoksch, Suzanne Cunningham, Bill Kemp, Kathy Milici, and Victoria Held. 

 

Ashley lives in Greenville, South Carolina with her husband, Gideon and two daughters Caroline and Hannah. They have lived at the beach for 7 years and love how fun life is with two girls. Ashley is an avid runner who enjoys running races, watching football and spending time with her family.
